Cloud, honestly
Do you even need the Cloud?
Short answer: probably not. TapGate works standalone over Bluetooth — keys, sharing, everything. Cloud is for people who genuinely want remote management.
Skip Cloud if
- You're home a lot and mostly open the gate yourself
- Bluetooth covers where you need it from
- You don't need to see who came and went
Add Cloud if
- You run a rental or share access with many people
- You want push notifications every time the gate opens
- You want to revoke or create keys from anywhere
Add Cloud any time after you buy — €5/month, cancel any time. If you cancel, the gate keeps working. You just lose the dashboard and notifications.

What everyone asks.
Is VAT included in €249?
Yes. €249 is the price you pay — VAT is included for EU customers. We don't ship outside the EU yet.
What's covered by the 2-year hardware warranty?
Every TapGate Gateway, Fob, and Keypad is covered for manufacturing defects for 24 months from the purchase date. If something fails on our end we repair or replace it free, including return shipping within the EU.
Can I return it if it doesn't work with my gate?
Yes. 30-day no-questions returns — we even cover return shipping. Check compatibility before you buy if you can, but if it turns out your operator isn't supported, send it back.
Do you offer discounts for multiple units or buildings?
Yes — for 3+ Gateways or small-building deployments, email hello@tapgate.app with your setup. We'll quote a small-building bundle.
What happens if I cancel TapGate Cloud?
The gate keeps working. You lose the web dashboard, remote key management, activity logs, and push notifications, but every key that's already on a phone still opens the gate over Bluetooth. You can re-subscribe any time.
